Judged blind by a panel of professional judges, our teas were consistently ranked at 75 and higher - earning Farmer Brothers 1st, 2nd and 3rd place awards in the competition.

— Farmer Bros. Co. (NASDAQ: FARM) ("Farmer Brothers" or the "Company") a national coffee roaster, wholesaler and distributor of coffee, tea and culinary products announced today that it has earned top honors in the single serve hot tea category at Penton's North American Tea Championships (NATC) 2015 Fall Hot Tea Competition held on February 25-26 in Las Vegas, Nev.

NATC, the only independent and professionally judged tea competition in North America, evaluated submissions blind and rated them based on brewed color, brewed aroma, brewed flavor, brewed mouth-feel and brewed harmony. "We are thrilled with the recognition," says Gerard Bastiaanse, Vice President of Marketing. "Providing our customers an industry leading tea portfolio is a key focus for Farmer Brothers."

Farmer Brothers took home honors in the packaged single service tea competition for:

•     Farmer Brothers English Tradition (1st Place - Black Tea Blends category)

•     Farmer Brothers Pomegranate     (2nd Place - Herbal Tea Blended/Flavored category)

•     Farmer Brothers Tropical Sunrise (3rd Place - Black Tea Flavored category)

The North American tea market is evolving rapidly in response to changing consumer behaviors and needs. The availability of premium teas like the Farmer Brothers line is helping drive growth within the foodservice industry. "Restaurants are seeing increased consumer interest in quality iced and hot teas through all day parts," commented Gerard. "Our strong placement in both the NATC Iced Tea and Hot Tea competitions over the past year demonstrates our Company's leadership and expertise in these categories."
